Suriyadej Traffic Circle or Jui-Beet is a fountain circle, and one of the important Phuket’s landmarks. The fountain circle is surrounded by Jui-Beet, large hoses traditionally used in tin mining back in the old days of Phuket. The hoses were designed to leach soil on the upper layer of mineral before extracting them for further process in tin mining. Jui-Beet was not only just a hose used in mining but it was a symbolic iconic that brought prosperity to Phuket in the golden years of tin mining.
