On October 8 - 9  2025, Mr. Piboonsak Kittitornkun, Deputy Mayor of Phuket City Municipality, attended the Russian International Creative Seasons – RICS Conference: International Conference on Creative Economy, held from October 8–9, 2025, in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation. He was accompanied by Ms. Natvara Sutthisattayaporn, Director of the Division of Tourism and Sports, members of the Municipal Council, officers from the Division of Tourism and Sports, and other related officials. The conference took place at Manezh, Saint Petersburg.

The RICS Conference focused on key topics concerning the creative economy, particularly a high-level dialogue on cooperation among UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). Phuket, as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, participated in alignment with Saint Petersburg’s role as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

- The Deputy Mayor of Phuket City Municipality joined a panel discussion on “Creative Transformation of Cities: How Geography Changes the Regional Economy.” He shared insights and experiences on how geography plays a vital role in shaping the economic development and identity of cities, as well as strategies to promote a sustainable creative economy. 

-  A presentation titled “UNESCO Creative Cities: The New Urban Economy.” He shared Phuket City’s experience as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, focusing on strategies for developing a creative food city and promoting creative economy initiatives at the municipal level, while exchanging perspectives with representatives from other participating cities.
