Thalland Creative Cities Network 2025 : TCCN 2025

On 7 November 2025, Mr. Piboonsak Kittitornkun, Deputy Mayor of Phuket City Municipality, participated in the opening ceremony of the awareness-raising event under the framework of the Thailand Creative Cities Network 2025 (TCCN 2025). The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Chuvit Mitrachop, Deputy Director of the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), and attended by officials from the Tourism and Sports Division of Phuket City Municipality, teachers and students from Plukpanya Municipal School under Royal Patronage, as well as representatives of UNESCO Creative Cities Network. The event was held at Grande Centre Point Pattaya, Chonburi Province.

The “Long Lay Phuket” team (Phuket), in collaboration with the “PATAI” team (Pattaya City), won first prize in the short video production competition in the Collaboration category between Creative Cities.

DASTA (Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration), a public organization, organized this awareness-raising event under the Thailand Creative Cities Network 2025 (TCCN 2025) to enhance understanding and raise awareness of the benefits of driving UNESCO Creative Cities in targeted cities across Thailand in a concrete manner. The event also aimed to create opportunities for developing networks and strengthening relationships among agencies involved in advancing UNESCO Creative Cities in the country.

The event featured a variety of activities, including the interactive exhibition “Pattaya Rolls” (QR Code Trail & Film City Visuals), a special lecture on “Soft Power through Creative City: A Perfect Blend,” and the screening of the short film Pattaya Rolls: The Best Film Location for Shooting. The initiative aimed to enhance Pattaya’s potential as a Creative City while promoting collaboration among various agencies to drive cultural-based economic development and sustainable tourism.
